Through MetLife’s Supplier Inclusion & Development program, our goal is to grow partnerships with diverse suppliers to promote their economic growth. Supplier Inclusion & Development is integrated within Global Procurement so we can interact with sourcing professionals and business stakeholders to include diverse suppliers in our supply chain. As part of our 2030 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals, MetLife has committed to spending $5 billion with diverse suppliers by 2030 and to annually report the economic impact of MetLife’s diverse supply chain. See 2030 DEI Commitments for more information, and read more about our Supplier Inclusion & Development program.

We’re committed to achieving face-to-face involvement that fosters a direct connection with diverse suppliers supported by our membership in national advocacy organizations, including Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, National Minority Supplier Development Council, National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Disability: IN and National Veteran Business Development Council. Supplier Inclusion & Development is integrated within Global Procurement so that we can closely interact with sourcing professionals and business stakeholders to include diverse suppliers in our supply chain.

Supplier highlight: En Pointe IT Solutions

The team at En Pointe IT Solutions has been busy as the world returns to normal. In late 2020 and early 2021, the entire company pivoted to focus on a broader set of markets to drive enough revenue to ensure that the Company could withstand the impacts of COVID-19.

Now, almost 18 months into their strategy, En Pointe has achieved solid results, increasing their employee base by more than 25%, adding new departments, opening a presence in new areas across the US and increasing product and service offerings.

En Pointe worked hard to focus their teams and arm them with the right tools for success, but they credit much of their success to two critical areas:  the support of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the momentum in the country supporting diversity.  They launched new relationships with NMSDC and WBENC regional affiliates to get closer to existing and prospective clients and invested in promoting En Pointe’s diversity story, reinforcing the impact and value of diversity in the supply chain with their associates.

En Pointe is optimistic about 2022 and what the future holds for them and other diverse businesses as they continue to invest in the company and their team members to realize the full potential that 2022 has to offer.
