Not enrolled yet? You may want to ask your employer or benefits administrator which network to choose. If you are from a Federal or State Marketplace, please select PDP Plus or Dental HMO/Managed Care depending on the plan.

PDP

  • Supports the MetLife Preferred Dentist Program, a Dental PPO plan
  • Visit any licensed dentist or specialist— however, your out-of-pocket costs are usually lower when you go to a participating dentist
  • Select this network for TRICARE CONUS participating dentists

PDP Plus

  • Offers the greatest selection of participating dentists and specialists for the MetLife Preferred Dentist Program, a Dental PPO plan
  • Visit any licensed dentist or specialist— however, your out-of-pocket costs are usually lower when you go to a participating dentist
  • Federal or State Marketplace customers, please select this network for DPPO Plans

Dental HMO/Managed Care

  • Supports our Dental HMO/Managed Care plans
  • The plans provide in-network benefits only
  • Enrolled members pre-select a primary care dentist for all dental services
  • Federal or State Marketplace customers, please select this network for Dental HMO/Managed Care Plans. Plan names begin with your state abbreviation (Ex: FL Family Basic Plan for Florida)

TRICARE OCONUS Preferred Dentists (TOPDs)

  • Visiting a TOPD can save a member time, reduce up-front costs and eliminate additional paperwork — please note that TOPDs are not available in all locations nor are members required to visit a TOPD
  • TRICARE CONUS, please select the PDP Network

Federal Dental (FEDVIP)

  • Supports the MetLife Federal Dental Plan, a Dental PPO Plan
  • The plan is only available to certain Federal government employees and their dependents
  • Visit any licensed dentist or specialist - however, your out-of-pocket costs are usually lower when you go to a participating dentist

Dental Managed Care Plan benefits are provided by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a New York corporation in NY. Dental HMO plan benefits are provided by: SafeGuard Health Plans, Inc., a California corporation in CA; SafeGuard Health Plans, Inc., a Florida corporation in FL; SafeGuard Health Plans, Inc., a Texas corporation in TX; and MetLife Health Plans, Inc., a Delaware corporation and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a New York corporation in NJ. The Dental HMO/Managed Care companies are part of the MetLife family of companies.
